KS3 Pupils Playing DjembesMusic lessons are taught through practical activities, including solo and group performance, individual and group composition and varied listening activities. We use two specialised classrooms, one laid out as a classroom orchestra and the other set up with music technology equipment. This allows us to give our pupils a broad range of activities.

    Assessment

Our pupils regularly evaluate their own work and that of others through discussion and by writing down their thoughts. We use a Virtual Learning Environment to collect pupils’ work and to send them online feedback. Pupils can access their work from home to show it to their parents.
