Young Enterprise company programme is an extra curricular activity run by the Business Studies department with year 10/11 students. Students organise themselves in to teams and trade as a business over a period of 12 months. Miss Gavaghan is the link advisor in the school and business advice is provided by Jackie Thomas from Perkin Elmer. Students meet formally on a regular basis and they are involved in all aspects of operating a business from deciding on job roles to producing and marketing their product. The end of the trading year sees teams competing against other schools in RCT at a trade day in the Rhondda Heritage Park Hotel. Y Pant has enjoyed success at this level for several years with awards ranging from Best Trade Stand to Best Presentation. | |||||||||||||
