The event, was organised by EBP and funded through the sponsorship of Sony Manufacturing Company (UK), Careers Wales Mid Glamorgan & Powys and Business in Focus. It took place on Thursday, 6 th November (9.30-5.30pm) at the Heritage Park Hotel, Trehafod. Schools from across the area took part.

The team were asked to devise a business proposal relating to a manufactured product. The product had to be a children’s toy (but not an electronic one). The team needed to research their proposed product and come up with a suitable business plan. When composing the business plan students had to adhere to deadlines with financial plans having to be submitted throughout the day. The day concluded with each group presenting their proposal to the rest of the groups, judges and guests.
