During a year 9 assembly Mr Barrington, a representative of Operation Christmas Child, spoke to pupils about the work of the charity and recognised the contribution of one of our pupils, Chloe Robinson, who donated 48 shoeboxes to the appeal – an outstanding contribution from one pupil!
He reminded pupils of the significance of their donations, that in sending the boxes we have not simply sent a gift of toys but a gift of love, which will remind others of the true message of Christmas.
Pupils of Y Pant should be very proud of the significant difference that they will be making to the lives of 207 children this year, who will for the first time be opening a Christmas present of their own and will be hearing the message loud and clear that someone is thinking of them |
