During year 8 you will be learning more advanced techniques in ICT within the same framework of Communicating Information, Data Handling, Spreadsheet Modelling. The topics are as follows:

1. Databases - searching a database of World Statistics and then creating your own class details database.
2. Health and Safety - whilst learning about this important aspect of ICT you will be also practising your desktop publishing and word processing skills.
3. Tourist Brochure - you will learn more advanced desktop publishing skills and also refine your internet research techniques.
4. Spreadsheets - more advanced spreadsheet skills.
5. Website - you will learn how to use Dreamweaver to create a website of 5 linked pages on a subject you've learned about in History.
