It is a good idea to create a template page in your eportfolio. You set up all your buttons, headings, fonts, colours and layouts once on the template page, then create every other page using the template. Then if you want to change anything on the pages, you change it once on the template page and the change is copied across all the other pages.
It is best to set a page width of 800 pixels. This means it can be viewed on most screens easily no matter what size they are. Use a table to make the layout easier. I have suggested a 2 column, 3 row table but you can choose something different.
Adjust your columns to whole-number widths (e.g. this site has a column width of 200 pixels for the navigation bar). Then create your navigation buttons and headings in Dreamweaver to match this.
This video clip shows you how to create your template and add a site heading to it in Dreamweaver. (Press F11 on the next page to view in Full Screen). |
