  1. Hi Please can you inform us of times school will close on half term. It is only because I read in my sons plk ( which he himself wrote) that school closes early on 19th December. I am still unsure of what time this is as you have not provided us with any information. It would be greatfull if you could include these times on your pages, many thanks

    1. I can confirm that school will close at 12:30pm on Friday 19th December. This information was sent out in the parents’ newsletter via ParentMail last week and is also online http://www.ypant.co.uk/?cat=22. This only applies to this Friday and not to other half-terms.

  2. Dear Sir,

Is it possible to furnish your website term dates information to include inset days for the academic year 2014/2015. At present the last inset day indicated is the last day of the current summer term (Monday the 21st July 2014)

Many thanks in anticipation of your kind and immediate attention to this matter.

    Yours sincerely,

    Concerned Parent

    1. We are in the process of confirming the INSET days for the next academic year at the moment. As soon as the dates have been agreed we will publish them for parents.

  3. Hi

I would like to book a holiday next year after my son has sat his GCSE’s, he has 4 this year and the rest next year, can you tell me do they finish earlier or do they have to continue in school until the last day of term?

    1. Year 10 students must return to school after their exams. Year 11 students generally finish their time in school towards the end of May but will have most of their exams during June when they are on study leave. After the last exam they do not need to come back into school. I don’t believe the timetable for GCSE exams in 2015 has yet been published but Mrs Taylor, our exams administrator should be able to suggest the usual date of the last exam.

  4. How do I go out about finding about buses from Y Pant going to Llanharry please. My daughter will finish school at 3pm and then will need to catch a bus to get to Elms Farm in Llanharry. Also how do I go about getting a bus pass please?

  5. Can you please post any proposed inset days and the staggered start dates (which years will return on which days) in September for the new Autumn term (2012/13)
